Guard featured on ESPN, NBATV to play Central tomorrow

Kaukauna sophomore McCabe faces

Besides all of the Division I basketball prospects coming to the La Crosse Center this weekend for the Midwest Players Classic, there’s also a minor celebrity.

Kaukana High School’s sensation, Jordan McCabe, has created a significant following on YouTube, and is getting mentions as one of those “next big things” since landing on Ellen, ESPN, NBATV and a halftime show of a Golden State Warriors game.

At 8 p.m. Saturday, he Ghosts (9-1), ranked No. 2 in Division 2 by the AP, will face off against third-ranked Central (8-1).

McCabe is averaging 25.8 points a game and could square off against Wisconsin Badgers commit, Kobe King, who is averaging around 25 points a game, as well.

The teams will tip off after 8 p.m. Saturday.
