Bucks take some Wilson guy in draft

Not the volleyball from Castaway or the neighbor on Home Improvement

The Milwaukee Bucks took a Wolverine in the first round of the NBA draft.

Wilson something. Or something Wilson.

I’ll be the first to admit, I don’t watch a ton of college basketball, so I couldn’t tell you a lot about Wilson. Image result for wilson wilson home improvement

I thought maybe it was the volleyball from the movie Castaway.

Another friend said it may be Wilson Wilson, the neighbor whose face you never see over Tim ‘The Toolman’ Taylor’s fence on the TV show Home Improvement.

For the record that first reference is from the year 2000 and the second one is from a show that ran from 1991-1999.

What I do know is the Wisconsin Badgers were 1-2 vs. Michigan last season.

DJ Wilson was a junior. Missed all but five games freshman year and came off the bench as a sophomore.

The 21-year-old, 6-foot-10, 240-pounds “stretch 4” averaged 11 points, 5.3 rebounds and 1.3 assists, 1.5 blocks, .3 steals and 1.1 turnovers last season.

You can read a good story about him here.

The Bucks posted his 20 best photos here.

And here’s what he did against the Badgers this season:

Jan. 17: W 68, M 64
DJ Wilson – 30 min.: 0-4 FG, 5 reb., 3 blks, 1 asst., 1 TO, 0 pts.

Feb. 16: M 64, W 58
DJ Wilson – 22 min.: 1-3 FG, 0-1 3s, 2 reb., 1 blk, 1 TO, 2 pts.

March 12: M 71, W 56
DJ Wilson – 34 min.: 8-11 FG, 1-3 3s, 6 reb., 3 asst., 2 stl., 1 blk., 1 TO, 17 pts.
