Miami's Brinson, key piece of Brewers' Yelich trade, hits 2 HRs … against old team; Braun gets 1,000th RBI with pinch-hit HR

The dude the Milwaukee Brewers traded for Christian Yelich hit the first two home runs of the season, and third and fourth of his young career Wednesday night … against his old team.

But, that’s not to say that, so far, Milwaukee isn’t running away with the trade.
After Lewis Brinson’s 2-for-3 performance on Wednesday — in a 12-3 loss — the 23-year-old raised his batting average to over .200 (.206 actually). He has 10 hits and 21 strikeouts in 64 at-bats this season. Last year, he had 17 strikeouts in 47 at-bats, hitting .236. 
Meanwhile, Yelich, who did miss 12 games, continues to hit. The 26-year-old has hit safely in six of his eight games, including a 5-for-5 performance. His average is .444 with a home run and five RBI this season.
Oh, and speaking of Milwaukee’s win over the Marlins: In the eighth inning, up 8-3, Ryan Braun came in to pinch hit and nailed a 3-run homer, giving him a 1,000 RBI for his career.
