Brewers add another, now sending five to all-star game

Another Milwaukee Brewer is headed to the all-star game.
Wednesday, Jesus Aguilar won the Final Vote to earn a spot in the July 17 showcase. Thursday, it was reliever Jeremy Jeffress that will join his four other Milwaukee teammates.

The 30-year-old reliever was named to the team thanks to Washington Nationals closer Sean Doolittle’s inflamed toe that landed him on the DL.
In 2017, Jeffress was terrible. He finished the season with a 4.68 ERA and a 1.64 WHIP.
This season has been a complete turnaround. Jeffress, who’s been on the Brewers three different times in his eight-year career, has a 0.99 ERA — lowest among all qualified the NL relievers — and a 0.84 WHIP.
In 45.1 innings, he’s struck out 47 and walked just 13.
Jeffress will join teammates Christian Yelich, Lorenzo Cain, fellow reliever Josh Hader and the aforementioned Aguilar.
