Packers an 8.5-point underdog, the most in Rodgers' era
Aaron Rodgers is not often a huge underdog. But, that’s the case so far this week as the Green Bay Packers get set to travel to the Los Angeles Rams.
The Packers have opened up an an 8.5-point underdog — the largest point-spread Rodgers has ever faced in the regular season.
Rodgers and the Packers have been 8.5-point dogs one other time in his career, back in 2014 against the Seattle Seahawks — a game Green Bay lost 36-16.
The spread could still move as the week goes on. If it goes to 9, it will be the largest spread ever against Rodgers.
In the 34-year-old quarterback’s career, he’s only been a five-point or more underdog four times — including this week and that Seattle loss.
In those games, Rodgers is just 1-3.
The Rams are 3-0 at home this season and have won those three games by an average of of 17.7 points.
Green Bay is 0-2 on the road this season, losing to the Detroit Lions and Washington.
