Packers looking to Patriots to fill coaching void

With the season officially over now for the Green Bay Packers, the question now is who will be the coach.

Green Bay Packers has requested permission to interview Patriots defensive coordinator Brian Flores, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

The Packers also asked to interview New England offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels for its head coaching vacancy.

Green Bay fired Mike McCarthy in December after 13 seasons. Joe Philbin took over but he’s not considered a contender for the job.

Last year, Flores interviewed for multiple head coaching jobs, while he was the Patriots linebackers coach.

McDaniels, last offseason, had that weird back and forth where the Indianapolis Colts announced he was hired as the head coach, and then he backed out of the job.
