Packers will name Titans' OC LaFleur as head coach
It appears the Green Bay Packers have hired a head coach.
According to ESPN, Tennessee Titans offensive coordinator Matt LaFleur is set to become the 15th packers head coach in franchise history.
LaFleur was the Titans offensive coordinator last season and previously worked under Sean McVay for the Los Angeles Rams and Kyle Shanahan with the Atlanta Falcons, as the quarterbacks coach that included then MVP Matt Ryan back in 2016.
Green Bay interviewed LaFleur on Sunday. The team interviewed 11 for the job.
Mike McCarthy was fired Dec. 2. Joe Philbin was the interim coach.
Tennessee was 9-7 this season and finished 25th in total offense, 27th in scoring.
LaFleur is the first head coach with no previous ties to the organization to be hired since Mike Holmgren in 1992.
