YELICH v. HARPER: Brewers headed to Philly for four

The rollercoaster Milwaukee Brewers are back in action Monday, on the road at the Philadelphia Phillies, hoping to end a two-game slide.

The little losing streak to the Chicago Cubs, comes after Milwaukee had won seven consecutive games — all but one at Miller Park.

Milwaukee will send Freddy Peralta (2-1, 6.75 ERA) to the mound to face Aaron Nola, who is 3-0 this season but with a 4.57 ERA. The 25-year-old righty, however, has given up just one run in each of his last three outings.

The Phillies are 14-7 at home and still haven’t gotten much out of $330-million-man Bryce Harper, who is hitting just .229 with seven home runs.

Christian Yelich looks to add to his MLB-leading home run total but, of his 16 homers this season, only one has come on the road. Yelich is hitting .406 at home but just .293 on the road with basically the same number of at-bats.

His batting average splits were pretty even last season (.328 on the road, .324 at home), but he hit 22 of his 36 home runs at Miller Park.

It’s a tough road trip already for the Brewers, who lost 2 of 3 against the Cubs. Chicago has the second-best record in the NL (24-14) right now behind the L.A. Dodgers (27-16). The Phillies are third (23-16), while Milwaukee is fourth (24-18).
