Anderson takes mound, as Brewers home three-game series against Marlins at Miller Park

After a day off, the Milwaukee Brewers are back home today, opening up a three-game series with the Miami Marlins.

Listen to Bob Uecker and the Brewers beginning at 6:05 p.m. tonight on WKTY 96.7 FM / 580 AM.

Miami will send Pablo Lopez (3-5) to the mound with his 4.99 ERA, while the Brewers will throw Chase Anderson, who is 3-0 with a 3.31 ERA.

The Brewers are favored by 1.5 runs.

All eyes will be on Christian Yelich — as usual — when he heads to the plate, leading the league with 22 home runs. Yelich loves Miller Park for the long ball. Of those 22 homers, 17 of them have come in Milwaukee this season.

In fact, so far with the Brewers, 39 of Yelich’s 58 home runs have come at Miller Park.

On Wednesday, the Brewers welcome the return of pitcher Jimmy Nelson, who missed all of last season with shoulder surgery, after sliding to beat out a single in 2017.

At that point, Nelson was having a breakout season. He went 12-6 with a 3.49 ERA for Milwaukee in 2017.

In three starts and a relief appearance on a rehab assignment at Triple A San Antonio, Nelson went 3-0 and had a 3.75 ERA with 29 strikeouts and 12 walks.
