Nelson back on the mound Wed. night for Brewers
The Milwaukee Brewers look to rebound tonight after taking a 16-0 beating yesterday.
And, to do it, Milwaukee is hoping tonight, against the Miami Marlins, Jimmy Nelson can continue right where he left off back in September of 2017.
Listen to Bob Uecker on the call
beginning at 6:05 p.m. tonight on WKTY 96.7 FM / 580 AM.
At that point, the righty was having a breakout season, at 12-6 with a 3.49 ERA.
Then he tried to beat out a single by sliding into first base and tore up his shoulder. Surgery on his throwing arm cost him all of last season.
In rehab at Triple A San Antonio this season, the 30-year-old Nelson had a 3.75 ERA, going 3-0 with 29 strikeouts and 12 walks.
He’ll face Marlins righty Sandy Alcantara (2-5, 4.08 ERA) pitches for Miami.
