WATCH: Dellavedova tries to take Beal's head off, says he was trying "to hold him up."
There’s nothing subtle about the way Milwaukee Bucks point guard Matthew Dellavedova gets into his opponent’s heads.
He does so by physically trying to remove their heads.
Take Saturday, for example when Delly Defense was ejected for this play on Bradley Beal. A play he said he was simply trying “to hold him up.”

Darth Vader would be proud.
Dellavedova was ejected following an extensive review, although he was surprised by the outcome.
“He decides to drive it, so I tried to hold him up and he slipped because he went down,” Dellavedova told Candace Buckner of the Washington Post. “I was just trying to hold him to prevent him from getting the and-one, and then he just went to the ground.”
“I thought it was a foul maybe or a flagrant one. But I definitely wasn’t expecting that,” he added.
